SCL OE2 Restorer Kit (2 IN 1)

$45.00

When type of stain is correctly identified, user can expect to remove penetrated oil stain out of a natural stone by adhering to the below application procedures.

Direction to use:

Step 1: Take the plastic spatula provided, stir well SCL OE2 (2 IN 1) which is already a ready-to-use paste. Apply the paste on the stain area with the help of the spatula. Apply a 1/4 inch thick over the stain area.

Step 2: Cover the paste with a plastic sheet and tape down the plastic edges with a low adhesive tape. Cover the paste with plastic sheet air-tight to keep the chemical from evaporating too fast. Cut plastic sheet only 1-inch wider than the stain. Do not cut plastic sheet too much wider than the stain as some stones characters will form an outer ring mark according to the size of the plastic sheet.

Step 3: Removed the dry paste after 24hours later. Removed the paste only when the paste has hardened thoroughly.  If the paste did not completely dry after 24 hours, remove plastic sheet and leave the paste to dry and harden for another 24hours. Sweep up the dry powder with a brush and dustpan. Avoid using a vacuum as OE2 chemical is a highly flammable product. Disposed the dry powder in a plastic bag. Clean the marble/granite surface with SCL-STONEMIST provided. Just spray and wipe with a clean cloth.

Notes:

  • Removing penetrated oil stain out of a natural stone generally need more than one attempt. Removing oil stain is quite different from removing other kind of stain. Do not be alarmed to see the stain get even darker than before at your 1st attempt. 50% or 100% of remover only be seen at the 2nd attempt.
  • Always cut plastic sheet to get ready first before you open the lid. Do not leave the container opened when you are not ready to apply the paste yet as OE2 dry up very fast.
  • If the granite stone forms an outer ring mark, remove the ring mark with another type of poultice which is RA(1) chemical mixed with DPP Poultice Powder. In this case, do not cover RA(1) poultice with plastic sheet. Removed RA(1) poultice 12 hours later.
  • Do not view OE2 result unnecessarily, i.e. when the paste is in a “semi-dry” condition. If so, re-application of a fresh OE2 poultice is required.
  • Used poultice cannot be mixed with water for re-application.
  • If the stone floor is treated with a wax coating or sealer, removing the stain using SCL-Poultice system could be difficult to succeed. You are required to remove the wax coating with SCL-XY Stripper product first prior to use SCL-OE2 poultice method.

Benefit: Gloss on polished marble/granite is not affected.
